Last Friday night I had the pleasure of bringing my family to the New Orleans Saints versus Cincinnati Bengals game with
NFL tickets from RazorGator. This was more than just a game but a complete experience for us. You see my husband in from Indiana. We just moved back here when my 18 month old was born and this was our first game. I am a New Orleans native and was very delighted to bring my family to their first Who Dat game.
We decided before the game we should have a sweet treat at one of our favorite cafes…yes you named it
Café Du Monde. We had a small plate of beignets and started to get super excited about the game. After indulging in a sugar coma we headed off for the Superdome.
Superdome Information Superdome 1500 Sugar Bowl Drive New Orleans, Louisiana 70112 (504) 587-3663
The Superdome is unique because it is the largest fixed dome structure in the world. Most locals love the dome because not only is it the home of the Saints but we also host the
Sugar bowl in the Superdome.
Parking at the Superdome We parked in a special events parking lot where there was plenty of room for fifteen bucks. We loaded the kiddo in the “daddy packpack” and headed walking towards the dome. As we were on our way we passed a woman and her two little girls selling pralines and decided to buy a few for later.
Once we got closer to the Superdome we saw the hundreds of fans pouring in as well.
The Game At this point, we began to get pumped up about the game. There was energy of excitement from everyone! You can also join in with the fans to tailgate before the games. Everyone is super friendly and you will never meet a stranger in New Orleans!
We went to our gate and began to get through security (FYI: Do not bring to big of a diaper bag…kind of a No-No). We went immediately to find out seats. We had plaza seats and I will tell you that if you plan on getting tickets to ANY game…Plaza seats are a MUST.
There we sat on the 50 yard line in Row 11 between a die hard Saints fan and two Bengals ticket holders. This was going to be a game to remember. My son was a little overwhelmed at first by the size of the stadium but immediately joined in on the fun by clapping along with others. The game started and we were right in on the action! You can watch a game at home but you have not seen a game until you are there watching it LIVE!
New Orleans Nightlife I suggest if you do not have a little one with you to enjoy a little but of the night life that New Orleans has to offer. You can always hit Bourbon street but for a for tame atmosphere you can check out
The Napoleon House,
Tujague’s,
Henry’s Bar Uptown, or
Le Bon Temps Roule! New Orleans is about the experience so be sure to take advantage of it!
The Saints won and we had an amazing experience! My husband has already said he cannot wait to be at the next one! Thanks again EventChaser for the
New Orleans Saints tickets!
