Which direction will you go in next?
I get the question often, "How do you do know what direction to go in with everything that you have going on?" Oh let me tell you it's EASY and I do it all in my cutest little apron...PUH-LEASE! The truth of it is sometimes it is chaotic and I am in over my head...but lately not so much.
I have learned when to say NO to projects. Not because I didn't think they were great opportunities but I have to make sure that it benefits my family first. If it takes up too much of my time or no relevance to my ultimate goal I just say..."No thank you."
Have I taken on projects that completely plummeted? Absolutely! Had I not I would not have learned the valuable lessons I have learned along the way. MY EXPERIENCES. These projects were either not the right partnership or just not the best fit. Will I sit here and "blast" them on my blog...no way. Have I made amends with some of these people? Yes, and truly can respect them. You live and you learn and sometimes that means failing. THAT'S OKAY!
Have I said YES to some projects and benefited from them? Absolutely and still do! I am at a great place as far as balance in my life. I feel like I spend great quality time with my family and work on what I love. I have met incredible people and hope to continue to.
People will always be ready to watch you fall...look for the ones who will help you up! I think it is important to pick your projects wisely. Choose those that fit into your goals and does not suck the life out of you!

Give it a REST
As you know I have been sick for basically three weeks of this month. I don't know if it is because of the changes in weather, karma getting me back for something, or something else. That something else being lack of rest.
Saturday night I stayed up with some gals pals until 2:30am chatting on Stickam . I totally laughed my ass off BUT paid for it the next morning. Have I lost my cool?? I mean 2:30am use to be the pre-party of something WAYYY bigger. I hear about people staying up to like 4:00am at some of these blogger conference and I'm wondering if I will be able to hang.
So Sunday morning it hit me...HARD. I was SICK again! Instead of getting up and checking the 100+ emails sitting in my inbox I just laid in bed. IT. FELT. GOOOOD. So I think with the time I had in bed without PC I realized that I do not need to respond immediately after each email or Skype message(yes I am the Skype Whore).
I am going to get to the messages when I can. I am going to hit the snooze on the alarm clock. I am going to take deeper breathe. And I am going to hug Boston for a minute longer.
I will REST....will you?

Orgasm Heaven?
OK I know I am a mom now and sometimes smell of kid puke, but COME ON! First, I do not need a pill to help out ok...THANK.YOU.VERY.MUCH. Secondly, I am not a man hence the name JEN. Seriously what kind of LOSER sends out these emails as a job?
Normal person: "Hi, nice to meet you. What do you do?"
Orgasm Heaven worker: "I send out emails to women on how to make their girlfriendsmtalk more about their "skills" in bed...only they are addressed to men."
Seriously I am SO tired of this SPAM nonsense. Early it was "Christrian Sex Gifts"

Owwww....Hello Nurse!
On Friday we(me) had to bring Boston to get his 15 month shots(want to hear the debate listen to this.) Anywho, we have a male pediatrician of whom Boston usually is quite fond of...not Friday. He was SO pissed when he got that shot he totally gave the-I'm going to kick your ass when I get older look-to the doctor. We immediately walked out into the hall when four pretty nurses stood. We went from WAHHHHHHHH to {{sniffle}} in a matter of seconds! He started immediately flirting with these nurses...typical MALE!
So then I told Dustin I wanted to make my doctor's appointment for this two week sinus infection I have been living with. He rushes over across the lake(about an hour) so he could come with us to "my doctor's appointment" which ended up really being this place.....

5 Things that make you realize you are that girl
So I was reading one of my fave blogs Bantering Blonde on her post about being that girl. The one who only thinks she looks cute in the comfy clothes. I thought, "Not ME! I really don't wear that stuff." Then a few things came to my attention.
You know you are that girl when:
You know you are that girl when:
- You son rubs you leg and quickly pulls away as if he was hurt....ok. OK I need to shave I get it!
- The pics you took on Mother's Day that had the awful shadow on your face turns out to be the almost unibrow that NEEDS to be waxed.
- You have the thought to work out except all of your yoga pants are dirty from DAILY use.
- A tad bit of lip gloss and mascara are no match for the CIRCLES under your eyes.
- You are wondering when you last washed your hair(YUCK).
By number five I'm glad to have Danielle of ExtraOrdinaryMommy.com to totally relate but also realizing I need to snap out of it!

How much time do you waste on Twitter?
Have you ever thought about that?? Well, now you can have answer! I have "wasted" 23 hours 16 mins 7 sec. I think that's a pretty good return on the amount of relationships that I have built on Twitter. As much as blogging is an important part of social media, I think Twitter is the best place to interact with people.
Ok so this great site Twittas.com can give you all kind of information not just the time spent on it. You can find out if you have been tweeting longer than @oprah or if you have more followers than the Pope! OK those are kind of silly but the option that I like the most on site is it shows you who the first six people you followed. I have to say I think I was pretty on mark except for one random...hey I was new! Here is my first six:
Pretty neat huh? Ok so come back and PLEASE tell me how much time you have "wasted" on Twitter.

Doodle 4 Google Contest
Ok so a while back I tweeted out about this great contest that Google was having for kids in K-12 grade to play around with the logo. These are just a few of my faves but you can see the rules and how they were judged here. I mean obviously 10th-12th grade had some pretty amazing ones BUT check out K-3 pretty impressive huh??
The great thing is YOU can help vote for whose logo will be on Google on May 21st! VOTE NOW ! And don't forget to come back here and tell me which one was your favorite!

I Love Being A Mom Because....
I have learned to accept who I am since little Boston has been born. He loves me unconditionally for who I am. He has taught me what unconditional love is and how to give it. Boston has given me a year and four months of hugs, kisses, and laughs that have me appreciate life more than I ever did. When he holds me tight, I am holding him even tighter. Being a mom is not alway glamorous, but it is the most rewarding thing I have ever accomplished. Being a mom allows me to wear a robe all day, have a messy house, and eat dessert first because, "I'm the mommy and I say so." I love being a mom because I continuously learning something new. Sometimes it's a new Elmo song....sometimes that warm milk will make him puke. Nonetheless, I love it...every part of it.
I asked a few friends what did they love about being a mom and here are their answers:

Do You Bubble Tweet Yet?

Ok so you guys are starting to learn more and more that I am a totally geek(chic geek of course). I am always interested in telling you about new things I find. Well, I just found another one.
I am totally loving the Bubble Tweet app for Twitter. You know we are on there SO much and have our bios and tweets, BUT now you can add a personal vlog message! Yes that's right. I did my first bubbletweet today as a part of the Moms Nite Out festivities. The great thing is it can be used for all sorts of things...the possibilities are endless. Unless endless is spamming and then I would suggest you do not use this. No one likes a spammer!

You should blog because....
With all this carpetbagging talk, I think it's important to remember a few things about blogging! In my classes these are some of the first things we discuss:
- Determine your purpose for blogging. Do you do it for yourself, for your family, or are you trying to monetize your blog? Your reason may change but it is best to have some type of plan.
- Be conscious of your audience but write from your heart.
- Read others blogs not because someone said so but because you like them. Some of the best blogs are those that have not "hit it big."
- This is a community. A BIG ONE. Be a part of it! Engage in the conversation!
