Battle of the Sexes?

Today I did a TwitterVIEW(Interview via @ replies) with @NerdBoyTV.  It was mainly to get the word out about my program .  Then asked a question that completely struck me.  He asked,"Ok, I've gotta throw the "gender" card in the mixx. Do you feel women use social media differently than men? How so?" WHAT?  Battle of the Sexes??  Really!

Of course, I had to give my smart-ass Mouth from the South and said, "@NerdBoyTV No...(twirling a piece of hair) what do you mean??"  I immediately followed up with my true thoughts that absolutely NOT do I think anyone plays the gender card.  I think we are all doing the same things using the same platforms. I think that is the beauty social media we are all in it together.  You know we spoke about this just this morning on the show .  Maybe I am totally oblivious but I do not see the separation of sexes.

What is freedom??

How would you feel about get arrested for something you blogged about?  Have you thought about that before you have written an article?  To be honest I never really think about the repricusions about what I have to say.  This is my blog.  I say what I want.  If you don't like it...oh well.

Unfortunately, some people aren't as lucky as we are when we talk about certain things such as our government.  I actually found two articles things morning that made me mad, upset, and sad.

One was of a SKorean blogger, "Minerva", sentenced to eighteen months because he wrote that the government had banned major financial institutions and trade business from buying U.S. dollars.  This apparently caused a shift in the stock markeand also said to be false information.  Talk about power of blogging.  Do you think this is right??

Another was Omidreza Mirasayafi who has been imprisoned since 2007 for saying, "What is freedom?" and answering saying," I don't know."  He was finally given the opportunity to call his mother after two years and he tells her about his struggles inside the grey walls.  She asked if he had been taking his heart medicine only to find out out two hours after their conversation that  he had passed.  All he asked is "What is freedom?"  What if you were imprisoned for saying that?

We should be ever so thankful that we can say what we want...when we want...to whom we want.  So be sure that what you say has meaning for those who are silenced.

OK first let me say I know this blog is called "Keep It Classy" BUT you the part about keep it real??  Well, here is goes.  I LOVE Carment Electra!  I KNOW she's a hoebag, but I love her.  I think she is an amazing dancer and you can not dismiss her beauty.  Obviously she doesn't see beauty or she's one of those "beauty within scraggly men" kind of girls.  She ALWAYS has the most interesting men.

Ok on a different note...am I the only one who does not like the Pocahontas trend??  I just don't get it or want to.  CALLING ALL FASHIONISTAS:  Is this really in now?
