The biggest problem for me is the random faces I am finding in my feed. When I first saw a retweet from someone I didn't "know" I had to second guess myself, "Did I follow this person and not remember?" That could not be the case because I go and look at every profile before following. Choosing our followers is the amazing part of Twitter. I don't think anyone ever follows the public stream so why would I want my stream to feel that way? I don't. Another problem that I am having is not being allowed to append messages. Most of the time when I retweet someone it's because I agree or have something to add to it. So why are you not allowing for this Twitter?
The retweet feature is still in beta so hopefully Twitter you hear our concerns and fix these issues. Here are what others are saying about the new feature:
So what do YOU think about it?

Just found out I was part of the Beta, anxious to see what it is all about! Thanks for the heads up!
I don't like that I can't add anything to the retweet. But I rarely use Twitter on the web so I don't notice any real changes. I use TweetDeck and I"ve been able to retweet for as long as I've had TweetDeck so none of this is really an issue for me.
I'm curious why people you don't know are now showing up because of RTing! Is it people that have retweeted ou? or how are they getting there?
Well that would certainly clutter things up! I was gone most of yesterday & didn't even notice this. I'll have to check my Twitter now!!
I think it should feed into the status bar so if you wanted to add "SO TRUE" Or "Amazing post" .. or something you could. I like adding the reason why i am rt-ing something (if 140characters will allow) ...
Also- its a little confusing that it shows the other person's picture. Maybe it will just take some getting use to -- but it really weird to me.
For those tweets I have nothing to add to, I find the RT feature so much easier to use. But when I want to add something, I have to do the old cut and paste routine.
I've also noticed that the RT feature isn't available on my list feeds. If there's something I want to RT from there, I have to go to an individual's page.
Still better than before, IMO. Hopefully they'll make some improvements on it to make it more usable.
Great post, Jen! Thx for including me! :)
I use Power Twitter which has a retweet function that allows you to add your own comments. It doesn't always work tho...
I love that Twitter is creating this RT feature, but I don't like strangers in my feed and I don't like that I can't add my own thoughts...
