Mission: Squash

My little Boston is growing so fast and switched from nursing to formula within the last couple of weeks. Yesterday we went to the doctor and started discussing feeding Boston the #1 foods...holy crap! And he got shots...it hurt me way more than it hurt him I think! When we got in the car I knew he needed to nap and that I shouldn't turn on his fave Finding Nemo, BUT I felt guilty. I'm mean he was just tormented by the nurse who seemed to careless about stabbing a syringe in my child's legs! So, I let him watch Nemo for half of the drive home...I'm such a sucker!

So, today...
Mission: feed Boston #1 Baby food.

Supplies: blue baby spoon bib, high chair baby, squash(doctor said to do yellow veggies, then green veggies, then fruit). Squash is a yellow veggie, right?

Plan of Attack: Convince him that squash is the yummiest thing in the world.

Mission Complete: He ate about half of it...not too bad. I figured out he was done once he started spitting it at me...not just spitting it out of his mouth but projectile on me!

Tomorrow, repeat this mission minus projectile squash!

Any tricks or suggestions that helped you with your little one??

Baby Come Back!!!

So, the hubby left once AGAIN on a stupid business trip!! He left at like 3:30am. I woke up at Boston's 4am feeding to find this...

Isn't he so thoughtful/romantic!!! I'm a lucky gal! I was half asleep(you know the one eye open, bumping into walls...) when I found this. It was bittersweet...it meant he wasn't going to be in bed when I got back in. Nonetheless, I loved it!

This morning I went to the post office...a better experience this time than last! I mailed off a http://www.lilnola.com/ order. The new Mint Green Fleur De Lis Onesie...this one I added the baby from the logo on the back near the neck. Super cute!!!

Then I went shopping today with the lil sis who is leaving for college in a couple of weeks. She was picking out of her furniture and accents for her dorm. It made me want to decorate room...I asked the hubby if I could make our room pink and black(like the old PPV page...RIP). He said, "Sure...it's your room. I just want to sleep in it." I love that he doens't mind surrendering to my girly ways. He just lets me. I miss you,babe!

Ummm...We have a problem!!!

If you haven't already taken back your BPA bottles, you still can! Babies'R'Us will exchange every complete assembly of your BPA bottles for new BPA free bottles. That's what we did today. Hubby got ready first and took care of the baby while I showered and got ready. I was in the shower and hubby walks in(not the shower, the bathroom) and says,"Ummm...we have a problem!" I, of course, had a moment of panic! I peeked out of the shower and he has one pant leg completely ripped off his jeans and the other just fine...I was thinking what the heck happened. He had a pocket knife in his pocket and somehow(being completely goobery) ripped a tear in his pants about half way down his leg. Oh hubby!!! That was the start of my morning...

The day got better though....we went and did the exchange of the BPA bottles. Yay, my child won't have some kind of disease now! While at Babies'R'Us, we played, bought clothes, and scoped the organic products.

We then went to AE and I got a summer scarf (great idea Kristen)! I decided on the silver one and two short sleeve shirts to go with it.

I Have a Headache...I Must Need Mexican Food!

So, today I have seriously had the worst headache in the world and still do! Hubby made it all better though. How you ask? He brought me to my fave Mexican local restaurant AND I got to register for Blogher's Reach Out Tour 2008 New Orleans!!!! I am so freaking excited that I am beside myself! Headache, who cares...I feel like a million bucks!!!! Thanks hubby you are my new fave...lol!!

A Day To Remember...

Today is a tough day for me...25 years ago today my dad passed away. Yes, I am 25 which means that I was only three weeks old. Now that I have a son I think to myself...when Boston was three weeks old he didn't know me. I mean yes he knew I was the one who fed him and held him...etc but at six months he KNOWS me. He knows just what to do to make me laugh or if he pulls my hair the look I will give him. My father didn't know me and I didn't know him.


My whole life I have listened to people tell me,"Well, at least you didn't know him." To all of those people, do you honestly think that made me feel better?? I would give anything to have one memory. Some people think just because they knew their loved one that it must be harder for them...not the case.

(Big Sigh...) With that said....please don't drink and drive because innocent people and families can be hurt.

Who Stole My Keys...the dog....the couch...Boston??

Ok so this is the second day that I haven't been able to find my keys. This really sucks because unless someone is going to be home(which they are not) I can't leave! Let me just say being on house arrest...not so much fun!

Anywho, enough complaining! This morning I was on the phone with hubby, who is still away, and he was talking to Boston on speakerphone asking him if remembered him! What a goofball! This is what Boston thought of his daddy saying such silly things.

"Daddy...I can't hear you!!!"

"Well, if I can't hear you...maybe I can taste you"

I love you daddy!!

Target Shopping!!

So, today I HAD to go to the post office to send off the giveaways I have been a little procrastinating on doing. Of course, I go to leave and can't find the car keys. Then I finally just decide to use my spare key. I start backing out and then look for my debit card...no where to be found! Thank goodness I have two! I finally get to the post office and get to the counter with Boston on my hip and realized I left the dang debit card in my car. What a day. I try to get out and be productive and it was just all going wrong.

So, what do you do when you have a bad day....you go SHOPPING! I love Target ! I found three great $1 items...shape toy, mini globe, and animal book. I got awesome deals on clothes. A few snacks...brownies, starkist tuna kit, blueberry muffins, beef jerky, and chicken salad. And I only spent $61! Holy Crap!! I know I made hubby proud!!!! I was so proud of myself I tried to go to GAP to continue shopping, but my lil Boston was sound asleep. That just means I get to go shopping again tomorrow!

PS Don't you love that I am wearing a Yankee cap and Boston is wearing a Boston Red Sox shirt!! Oh the craziness of our Yankee/Red Sox fam!! Go Yankees!!!

LAZYYYYYY DAYYYY

This is my lil Boston in his 3-in-1 Combi Walker. I love this thing!!! We relaxed and played all day. Then we went to my aunt's for a my lil cousin's birthday. Can we say Baskin Robins Ice Cream Cake.....YUM!!! Did I mention I had to have two pieces?? Dustin comes home from business trip Thursday....YAY!!!

A Day With The Girlies!

So, today I went to a bridal shower for a very close friend. I've known about the shower for weeks. I knew my mom would not be available to watch my little Boston and hubby would be working...so what to do with the little stinker?? He's never been with a BABYSITTER! The thought of it totally freaked me out, but I have a great friend who actually introduced me to the hubby(which is a post within itself) to watch him. She loves him and always has baby fever, but she has been done with having babies for awhile. I woke up early, but somehow took a nap with Boston during his first nap at 8:30am. The shower was for 1:00pm. Did I have a gift...of course not! Procrastination is my middle name and should have been my first and last name too! I did get to the shower(late). I did get lost. I did enjoy my girlies and the wine market after the shower. No, I did not drink any wine....I had to pick up B-Boy. And I did survive his first babysitting experience. Who knew it would be so stressful!!
